The last canning run of the year today- I know, I'm bad, it's mid-November, but I needed a break; it's no good if there's no joy in it, and our tree didn't give enough pears this year anyway. And there
is joy in it again, I'm actually
excited to get started; that didn't exist a month ago.

I made the most delicious biscuits the other day: fresh sage, caramelized garlic, and yummy soft mozzerella; they make lovely breakfast.
Leonid meteor shower tonight. I'm excited to cozy up with wine and blankets on the porch.
